MICHAEL J. L. CUSICK

Attorney

Mike practices in the areas of water rights adjudication, water law and real estate. Prior to going into private practice, he was employed for seven years as special water master for the Honorable C. Bruce Loble, Chief Water Judge of the State of Montana, in Montana's ongoing statewide adjudication of water rights. He also spent two years as a law clerk for the Honorable R. C. McDonough of the Montana Supreme Court.


Mike received his B.S. Degree, with honors, from Montana State University and his J.D. Degree, with honors, from the University of Montana, School of Law. He is co-editor of the instructional videotape “A Water User's Guide through the Montana Water Court" KUSM Productions and has been a presenter at several water seminars in Montana. Mike is rated BV* by Martindale-Hubbell. He and his wife have three sons.

JENNIFER L. FARVE

Attorney

Jennifer practices extensively in ranch, residential and commercial real estate transactions throughout the State of Montana. Born and raised in Bozeman, Jennifer attended Montana State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and a minor in Communications. In 2003, Jennifer graduated with honors from the University of Montana School of Law. Following that, she completed a one-year clerkship with Justice Jim Rice at the Montana Supreme Court.


In 2004, Jennifer joined the law firm of Moore, O’Connell & Refling where she began her practice as a transactional and litigation attorney in land use planning. At Cusick, Farve & Michael P.C., Jennifer continues to practice in nearly all aspects of transactional law, from real estate to business and finance. As a Bozeman native, she and her family continue to enjoy the Montana way of life. 

JEREMY A. MICHAEL

Attorney

Jeremy A. Michael joined our firm in early 2018. Prior to joining the firm, Jeremy spent six years at the Montana Water Court, first as a law clerk for Chief Water Judge C. Bruce Loble and then as a Water Master for five years. He has also served as a Special Master for the 6th Judicial District Court on water right enforcement matters.


Jeremy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Design, a Master’s in Architecture from Montana State University, and a Juris Doctorate from Western New England University School of Law. His practice primarily focuses on water rights adjudication, water law, real estate law and construction law. Jeremy and his wife have two young children and together they enjoy a variety of outdoor activities.
